The self-titled album from The Lonesome High is a dozen songs for a dozen stars of the screen, from Danny Thomas to Willem DaFoe, and from Cookie Mueller to Spalding Gray. Stumm is an obvious movie fan and knew the last two personally. This fascinating interview was recorded 17 February 2008.

The Jazz June - The Scars To Prove It

In this 20 January 2008 interview, Andrew Low recounts the history of art-goth project The Jazz June. Jazz June release a CD/DVD to raise money for the Adam Gerhart Fund in order to offset the costs of treatment and for Gerhart. The Royersford label Universal Warning documented a reunion show for a CD/DVD set and we hear from Andrew about this release and Gerhart.

 
6th Program:
Arthur Barrow

Arthur Barrow is all over “Joe’s Garage” and toured with Zappa in the late ‘70s. In this 13 January 2008 interview, Barrow recalls those times and working closely with Zappa, including leading the band in rehearsals as “Clonemeister”.

In this 9 December 2007 episode, we meet drummer George Agassi of Montreal’s Terminal Sunglasses. This avant-punk band put out its own LP over twenty years ago and it still sounds fresh, fun and feisty.  Terminal Sunglasses was compiled on Vol. 4 of the Shielded by Death  compilation and stands out in that collection for its originality.

Mudville - Iris Nova

Sepand Samzadeh is one half of the duo behind Days Between Stations. In this 25 November 2007 interview, we hear from him about the group’s self-titled album, which was four years in the undertaking. The album is a rich and wondrous world of material much like Dark Side of the Moon-era Pink Floyd.
